Lacquer thinner works well, but is a bit overkill if you're spraying acrylics. I use acetone and it works exceptionally well for thinning and cleaning. Don't use the fake stuff they sell as nail polish remover it reacts differently with various brands of paint.

Not true. Insulation works just as well to keep a building cool as it does to keep a building warm.

Kleen Klay does not contain sulfur and therefore it won't cause a reaction with your RTV (inhibit curing).

Sorry to hear that, you could have gotten a much better mini lathe at a cheaper price at Rockler. The JET mini-lathe is more reliable and far more stable at higher speeds.

Also, avoid casting large solid parts. The more mass you cast, the more heat it creates (ruining your mold faster) and the more shrinkage you will have.

I agree, I immediately tossed my chopper v.1 when I got my chopper v2, the chopper 2 is much more sturdy and the knife handle and blade is solidly attached to the base and doesn't wiggle like the old one.

Simple paint thinner or mineral spirits on a rag, then use an old toothbrush for the corners.

Don't use anything hotter (lacquer thinner is a no-no) or else you risk damaging the resin.

Toss the Krylon in the trash and go buy yourself some Duplicolor primer or paint at the auto parts store. Duplicolor goes on and adheres much better to resin than Krylon.

Tamiya primer works well too but is hard to find. Both Duplicolor and Tamiya primers are Lacquer based.
