Another plastic tub spray booth user here. I only use a 120mm computer fan though. Works well enough.
Best bit is once you spray you can pop the lid on and leave it to dry with no chance of dust floating in.

What about compressors? anyone got a great one they wanna praise? or a POC they wanna warn folks away from? I couldn't be happier with my 5ish year old twin cylinder Sparmax with about a 2l tank. Different than the model they have now but it's been fantastic. BTW I checked and my other brush is a B...

... put a dap of white glue or epoxy an inch or so down from the mushroom and the pull the FO from inside. You put the glue on the outside so you're pulling it back through the hole with the fibre? Going to be doing my first lit model myself shortly so hadn't thought of doing it that if that's what...

Thanks all. kenlilly106, yes something like structural steel tube. Re radius I'm not sure but something that is obviously rounded for the size. I have a heap of Evergreen tubing around the size I want but it's all sharp edged. I did originally think of sanding it but I'm going to have a few pieces a...

Ideas/source for rectangular tubing with rounded corner
I have an idea that to execute properly (in my eyes) requires rectangular tubing with rounded corners. I'm after a few sizes but the most important needs to be about 0.6" on the long side. Any ideas for how to make or a source to buy from? I'd prefer styrene but can work with pretty much anythi...

I've never had trouble with the 3M blue tape, in fact I layed it out over paint that I'd only put down an hour earlier just yesterday. If you want something lower tack I think 3M has another colour that's low tack (lime green IIRC?) or I've found Tamiya tape to be very low tack (to the point I've ha...

I recently only took up modelling again. I had an old Aztek airbrush but was never happy with the results I got the couple of times I used it (not necessarily the fault of the brush). This time around I picked up a Badger 360 and absolutely love it. I'm really only using it as a single action ATM bu...

I just used Mr Surfacer 1200 in a rattle can to prime my first kit in about 20 years (FM Tie) and all I can say is WOW! I love this stuff. It goes on so well and lays down tight with no loss of detail. Only complaint is the rattle can over whelmed the little spray booth I made up. Going to have to t...
