Re: Beginner Airbrush Setup?

I just converted to CO2. I got my tank from a Fire Extinguisher place. You could also look at places that support home brewing. That is where I got my regulator (could have gotten the tank there as well but the other place was cheaper) Welding supply also has the items but I find they are jerks Tank...

Re: Basics. Weathering. Washes

anything you do will destroy your decals if they are not sealed. Here is a very simple technique that will get you through. It’s water and pastels https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrCueONhuko Even if you are not going to paint the model you should seal it if you can If that is not an option I really ...

Stuck Private Messages

Hi

Can someone help me? My private messages do not seem to send unless the person i am sending them to is online. Is there a setting I missed or some other way to fix it?

I receive PMs when not online so I am confused.

Thanks

Robert

You won't go wrong with the brush. Had my Eclipes for several years and love it. As far as price it depend on which one you are looking at. The have the noral brushs like the Eclips and Revolutions that are in the Badger Pash range and then they have the Microns which are hand matched brushes built ...

Don't know if this is available to you but I bought this several years ago and love it. It is moderatly quiet and has a regultor that works fairly well. Added a moister trap that I got at Home Depot and a couple of 1/4" fittings and it done for about 140.00US http://www.toolsdirect.com/presenta...

The CH compressor w/tank is the way to go. The compressor is not to noisey and only runs about 5 min tops to fill the tank. I can get about 30 min or so of spraying before it kicks back on( if you shut th ecompressor off it won't. It has an auto start once the tank gets below 60psi or so). Should be...

Paint removal question

Okay

I broke out my old Excesior kit and plan on finishing it. I did an okay job on oy but ended up taking the warp eng apart. I need to remove the paint from the clear parts (so that I can do it better). Will easy off or brake fluid fog the clear parts?

Thanks

what primer are you using? If it Tamiya or testors you may want to try switching to something in the "sandable" range. By that I mean something like Mr. Surfacer or Krylon sandable. These types of primers have a little more to them and can fill some of these inperfections. As far as your q...
