On the way!
As far as Newport Tenn. after a battle on the Interstate.
Two major construction related traffic delays totaling over 3 hours of delays.
However, will be there and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Re: Who's going?
The wife and I are finalizing reservations the next two days and will be there.
Any openings on an Iron modeler team?
I have the bag of miscellaneous parts for the entry fee.
We are REALLY looking forward to seeing everyone.

Iron Modeler entry looking for it's creator
Paula and I picked up our team's entry.
We also picked us the entry for Two Guys and a Broad.
Both safely made it home and if Two Guys and a Broad would like their entry we will pack and ship it to them.
Just send me a private message and we can arrange shipping.
Thanks.

Re: Iron Modeler at Wonderfest - It's ON!
BGuy,
No problem, if you check my first post in this topic I already have a big bag of parts for the "entry fee".
Also I am driving so bringing them is no issue.
I might still take you up on the drink
Starting to pack, getting excited.
See you (sort of) soon.

Re: Iron Modeler at Wonderfest - It's ON!
BGuy, As far as I know there are no restrictions on forming teams. Since you and I are both looking to participate and a minimum teams is is 2, Looks like we have a team if that is OK with you. If you are OK with it I will sign up the team with the name Starfury Pilots. If you have a better idea for...

Re: Reducing LED Brightness?
LEDs are not linear devices, they do not act like resistors e.g if you drop the voltage 10% the current does not drop by 10%. The LED needs 3.3 volts and before current starts to flow and an additional component is needed to limit the current to 20 ma. So if you want to use 3 - 1.5v batteries (4.5 v...

The red LEDs have a different voltage and current requirements. Based on what I could find the red LEDs should be brighter then the blue and white, so I must have missed something. Could you list the specs, voltage and current of the red, blue and white LEDs? Are the red LEDs brighter at the LED and...

I think I understand the question. I am working on a similar circuit myself. If I understand correctly, you need to determine the frequency and the duty cycle. Using Kylwell's input as a standard if you set the frequency to 80 htz (72 + 10% approx.) as you reduce the duty cycle to give the impressio...

Just a comment on the calculations, one of my B5 references mentions that the maximum gravity on B5 was .9 earth (in the areas normally inhabited, not the outer limit of the hull). The difference in diameter and max g would help explain the difference in rotation speed. (Interesting that it appears ...

I have a can of mold release I bought when I picked up my first Alumalite kit. I have been through several bulk packs of casting resin and still have the same can, it only takes a light dusting. I just checked the basement to get the name and I can't find it right now. Check with the store where you...

Are you really planning t install 500 leds in one model? At 20 mils each thats 10 amps. 20 guage would be needed to handle the load. That also means you need to vent the heat created by 50 watts of power. Check your power supply also, a wall wart isn't going to handle that kind of load. If you are o...
