Blappy

If you have not sent it out yet can you please send to next person.

Things changed at work and I will not have as much time to work on it as planned.

If it has already left I will give it a quick once over and pass it on.

Blappy Did you see the decals I threw in for a paint scheme inspiration? I was thinking maybe bare metal with red pin stripping from the decal sheet for “Big Wing”. NX-17000 Yes, I was going for the round engine parts on the small one. The engine housings just were not working out for me, sta...

Sounds good.

Finish the “Big Wing” for 2015 and another go around for second one to get finished. I would love a second go at the small one; I’ll be ready this time. :?

More than one month with it would be great. When you throw life and long holidays in, one month flies by fast.

Not MIA, just PC problems. Could not down load pics from phone and could not get into Photobucket. Updated phone/PC and using Firefox now, seems to be working. Only pics I have for posting are from phone so are lousy quality. Will post more if I can get camera going. Hopefully I get this posted befo...

The contractors came to insulate my basement. The model bench had to get packed up. Not as much done as I had intended. I have only been able to work on what will fit on my lap at night sitting in the living room. Putty/sand, rinse, repeat and some work on weapons for the second ship. The contractor...

It's here, it's here. John Yes the sound you heard was the fin breaking off. Good thing you threw in spares. Do you happen to have a piece of metal rod lying around? There is only one in the box. I have some around here someplace, just have to find it, haven't seen it lately. Now, what to do? Just p...

I think I will do some work on the second one. I went thru the parts I had set aside previously and have lots of wings. Nothing as big as a 747, but there is a 1/48 S3 Viking wing that looks promising. Cockpits should be no problem. I have A-10, F-15, F-18 and Mig 29 cockpits in 1/72. I also have so...

Looking good John.

Definitely like the sleek lines.

P.S. Did you happen to get three of those F15's mixed in to the box?

Sounds good, one civvi, one mil. One flashy paint job and one dull.

I really like the way the first one is looking and was worried there wouldn’t be much left to do.

That will give me the chance to hack and mash the other one some, that’s my favourite part.

John

When you said "I can go vertical" you weren't kidding. I found some wings in the parts bin and set them aside, but nothing even close to that. I did find lots of weapons to try out. Guess I will look at them and have them ready for my turn.

I can't wait to get started.

Once we decide on what the starter kit is I will start going thru the parts box for ideas.

I have a Rotary Trimmer that works very well on thin sheet. With some fancy clamping of a strait edge I can get duplicate cuts fairly easy.
