Wai-! Whoa! Wha-?! Zog, died? Damn! I didn't know that! I don't always come to this section of the Forum since I haven't done any lighting for years. But with me starting my 1/350 TOS I thought I'd check this out. Ah, man. Zog was great. He was so helpful to me when I first started adding lighting ...

Testors Decal Paper
Hello my friends. A friend sent me some Testors White decal paper. I have a graphic ready to print onto it. My question is; the instructions mention using a InkJet printer. Would a Laser Color InkJet printer work? Would I need to spray a fixative of some kind after it's printed (if a Laser InkJet wo...

Looks pretty nice to me. A little 'thick' but nice. Although I do not have the McQuarrie painting in front of me, so I could be wrong. It just seems to me that his original paintings showed a psycho-spindly, sleek design. However, I am not a rivet-counter. I like what you have built. Beauty. :thumbs...

I am trying to find paints and Primers that won't damage the air/atmosphere and such. I know that paint/primer by it's very nature is chemicals and is likely to case damage of some sort. However, I would like to be able to continue my hobby with as little damage to our Mother as I can. In this case,...

Earth-Friendly paints for Airbrushes
Hello all. I am wondering if there are any Earth-Friendly paints that are available that can be blown through an airbrush? I need both EF paints and especially EF Primer. I am hoping someone can help. Or has tried some and can give assistance. I know that there seems to be a Automotive Paint selecti...

Pleasant Airbrush Surprise
I just watched the first episode/installment of David Fisher's Figure Building DVDs that I just picked up at WF this year, and I was surprised to see that he was using a double-action Aztek airbrush. OMG! What a surprise! I had always heard, in sort of an unwritten law/opinion, that "real"...

Not off the top of my head. But, I love Underworld, too (and Underworld II. ;)). Kickass babe with guns!!! :guns:  Ooo. Here's an idea. After removing the powder and primer from the bullets, make the firing pin area of the casing removable. Unscrewable or just a simple pop-off (with some slight...

Hello All. I have a quandry. I usually use Easy-off to remove paint from my models. I have even used it on kits that I have received from other people where they have painted it themselves years before and decided they didn't want it anymore, So I used them for parts or whatever. Point being, the pa...

I, too, just grab a pin-vice and drill the windows and use a file and new #11 blade to get the tiny fragment remains. Regarding clear resin...I still have a bit of difficulty with that to not have bubbles in it. And that is after pouring the resin slowly and gently into the corner of the window and ...

Making master from Original
I am curious. When making a master of a model......Let me try this again. I am scratchbuilding a model for myself to take to a local IPMS show in about a week from now, on Sept. 16 (so I need to be completed by Sept. 15). The model, I think, would make a nice kit. But I don't know if there are speci...

Hey Skup, Those are nice looking designs and renderings. It'll be nice to see them released. Hopefully yours will be easier to print out. I have Photoshop 7 with 512M of RAM and I still can't print some of the decals available here. Apparently, I don't have enough memory. It's a bummer. I even had a...

I have my pics hosted by www.webshots.com. After I have uploaded my pics, I open the particular pic (to make it bigger) and highlight the address in the Address bar. Copy it, and paste it into this Starship Modeler Message area. That seems to be the easiest way. Sorry if I seem to be patronizing you...

And would like to know the pest source for these little gems.
