Well, that is certainly annoying. As a sales clerk, this sort of behaviour annoys me to no end, because when i do give advice based on decades of experience and the customer ignores me, it's most often due to the customer being burnt by people like this in the past.

Any time I switch to a new type of paint, it usually goes poorly. Getting used to acrylics takes a while, they just don't act the same as solvent based paints do. I find thinning Tamiya with water loads the paint with too much moisture, and can have poor results. I always default to the brand thinne...

I don't know of anything to thin CA, and wouldn't experiment on a model unless you're really in a hurry. Rushing, for me, usually leads to disaster, removal of large areas of a model, or such a total mess it can be unsalvagable. I'd wait if possible, it's your most safe answer.

Depends on how long they may stay that way, but that pertains to any position. I've stored paint in all 3 positions with no real preference, it basically comes down to having the space.
