Thanks, I'll have to look into the polyfoam thing. All I'm looking for is a lightweight shell (the harder the better) that I can paint, insert acrylic eyes into, and add wires and doodads coming out of the neck. I'll have to experiment with different techniques on some other sculptures I have lying ...

Thanks for the suggestions. I wonder if I'll need to fire it first, or will the dried clay be sturdy enough to hold the various molds? I'm worried if I fire it it'll shrink too much, and on top of the shrinking resin or plaster, I'll have a shrunken Data head on my hands. :D
