Re: The Abbey of Aves

I would get the smallest available. They go farther than you think once mixed together. I had my set for over 5 years before they started to get a little hard to get out of the containers. They still mixed fine and worked well. As for color, anything that you like. Usually light grey works the best.

I used it on a split seam on a rotocast Colonial one kit. Had to drill from the rear and let it slide down in there on the inside. worked like a charm. About 2 years now and it does not seem to be brittle and is holding fast.

Definitely switch to either Mr. Surfacer or Mr. Surfacer Dissolved Putty. If you can't find that (it can be difficult), I had great luck softening Squadron Green with denatured alcohol. You can then smear it around with your finger. And Squadron White, I think, can be softened with acetone. Pure ac...

With walnuts! And make sure it's real maple syrup, none of that log cabin or mrs butterworth stuff. But once you've used up your Squadron putty, get some Bondo spot glazing putty or 3M Acryl Blue. Any idea where to find 3M Acryl Blue? I found it at auto body supply stores amazon sold it, or here ht...

IMHO the dupli-color filler primer is too thick for modeling use and fills in too many fine details, I prefre dupli-colors sandable primer which comes in 3 colors and goes on very fine :D

ambroid pro weld is indeed still in production.
its the same as tenax but with a wetting agent to help it flow better. It is as strong as Tamiya extra thin and as fast as tenax. and its CHEAPER!
I use the tamiya bottle filled with proweld because the bottle is sqare and does not tip over as easily.

i have a 360 and love it. its not the greatest for acrylics but sprays enamels great!. very very easy to clean and its very comfortable. the little rubber finger pad that goes over the button/lever comes off way to easy. i leave it off. ive had paasche, and badger a 470 and like the 360 much better....
