Micro Electronic on/off Switch..Where to get em?

Hey Gang! So I'm starting to get more & more into sub-miniature electronics for kit lighting & I usually like to try to to internalize my designs to just the kit alone that I plan to light. No hefty bases or wire setups going to a wall outlet. I have a few "on/off" style switches t...

Micro Electronics Soldering Station

Hey Gang! I'm getting to the point where I'm going to soon need a decent soldering station for wiring up micro components like 0402 SMDs & the like. I'm looking to get a station that has a smaller soldering iron with interchangeable tips & good temp controls. Perhaps something that wont brea...

Back to airbrushing n need help with Primers

Hey Folks! Its been something like ten plus years since I had the ability to airbrush any kits & now I've finally gotten a nice spraybooth, I need to replenish my stock of paints due to loss & hardening over time. Its been a long while since I primed anything & was wondering what the gen...

Micro-mini slide switches--NEED--

Hey Gang! So i have many projects that are gonna require very tiny slide switches but, so far, I've only been able to find ones that are around 6mm in total length: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm44/budokhan/photo_4_zps08774197.jpg What I was wondering is, are there any switches available that...

Need advice on a simple LED lite setup

Hey Gang! I recently picked up the Moebius models BSG TOS Colonial Viper Mk1 & plan on lighting the crap outta it! I have a bunch of other stuff for it already & one of those things is the LED engine lite setup. The assembly I'm using for that is one of those push on/off L.E.D. dome lites fr...

Hey Ed! I knew i could count on you to give me the answer I was looking for! Thanks so much! I had thought about the wire & thru-holes but wasn't sure If I should make a jig of sorts to "pre-make" the rungs & put them thru afterwards or if there was a better, simpler method as I've...

Making Hand Rungs in 1/500

Hey gang! So, I'm planning my 1/500 Yamato kit build out & I've seen a lot of folks adding their own replacement hand rungs on the ship. Does anyone have an already existing formula to make these & if so what wire dia. should I use? Or are there maybe p.e. sets with hand rungs that I've not ...

Hey guys! a little late to this thread but personally, I've always found it easier to buy rather than build if someone else has already done the work. I picked up a really nice little pre-made vac-former a while ago from Micro-mark for just a bit over $120. The whole thing is in one unit..power supp...

NEED: 1:500 Naval Photoetch parts

Hey Gang! So I'm going to be starting a 1/500 Space Battleship Yamato build soon & I'm comin' up short on finding 1/500 scale p.e. frets that have naval ship railings & ladders with railings. I've looked high n low & so far the only set I can find is from Gold medal models, its waaay exp...
