unwarping a resin display base

Hi,

I have a display base made of resin. It's got great detail on top is about a quarter inch think and is slight warped.

How do you unwarp something that thick without damaging the detail?

easy way to cut strips of thin metal?

Hi, I'd like to cut thin (.030") strips from a sheet of .005" thick metal (probably brass) to about 6.5" long. Is there an easy way to do this? I can't get an accurate cut with an x-acto knife and photo-etching is, well, more toxic than I want to deal with. Are there other options? Th...

Painting advice requested.

All, I'm building Timeslip's Rising Star. I've painted the ship a very light grey with dark blue and tan panels per the pix from Battlebuck.com. At this point, it looks much like the studio model. On the screen, the ship looks bluer. I thought I'd lay a thin coat of a light blue over the whole model...
