Maybe on the next model, but not for this one. I am following the KISS principle here (You wanted the best, you got the best). :twisted:

If this doesn't last too long with the AAA batteries, I'll go AA on the next build.

Just remember most nicad (and NIMH) battery cells are 1.2 volts each while alkaline batteries are 1.5 volts. So keep that in mind with the total voltage when you select your power source. As such, 5 Nicads will have the same voltage as 4 alkalines.

Hi guys. The James Small K-7 lighting article on the Round 2 site has me inspired to tackle my first lighting project, the AMT reissue of the K-7 model. Well, the trickiest bit will be deciding how to go about it. Pearl coat paints can be tricky to apply evenly as they are thin and the color coverage can alter depending on how much you shoot. Plus, if you shoot too much, you'll build up a ridge of paint that is visible when the masked gets pulled up...

Well we could all go caravaning to the local Mr. Ghatti's pizza for dinner as well. They have an all you can eat buffet there and the price per person is very reasonable.
