Thx, I'll try the Mr. Surfacer 1000. Thx to everyone on this site, you're really making my first scratchbuilt a lot easier than I thought it would be!

Priming is the best way to find flaws in the Master. If you are happy the way the model primes, a fine wet sanding may be all you need before you set it up to make a mold. Thx for the tip. Do I need to wet sand it after priming so that I can make a mold from it? I just want to know if the primer is...

Another way is to roll the putty into long "logs" and place that on your edge. after it cures you can file/sand it down to each surface and get a really nice edge. I have done this on many scratch builds and resin kits with bubled on hard edges. Thx, that's actually what I ended up doing....

aves apoxie sculpt question

I'm trying to make a square corner/ridge using aves sculpt. I have two flat planes of styrene coming together and I need to square it off. Is Aves the best to use for this? I applied the Aves, how long do I need to let it sit before removing it. I'm afraid that if I wait till it's cured, it'll be to...

Thx for the tips guys, I never thought of using signs but I can see how they'd be cheap and easy to find. I'll pick some up next week. I need them for some 7-8 inch long SW models I'm going to scratchbuild. Since I'm just starting and I'll be really slow at this, I won't be needing any 4 x 8 footers...

thx so much for the help, I will pick up some of this stuff for future use. For these couple models, I just used super glue as suggested. It took a while to bond but it seems to have worked, thx!

thx for the info. I'm building some star wars resin kits, I don't have a lot of gluing to do on them but I wanted to know for sure what works. They're two Mon cal cruisers and a star destroyer.
