Polar Lights TOS Enterprise 1\1000 decal sheets - windows
Oops! I goofed again. I said the decals were black instead of dk. grey. Once I fully opened the package and looked at all the decal sheets I see that they did also include the dk. grey grilles. And the cross hatching is actually visible even to someone like me with bad eyes. But this does bring up s...

update to pylon grilles
I found this great site that gives the entire history of the models used on the show. It states during the production upgrades of ships: ◾Nacelle pylons: four dark gray. brick-pattern inserts placed in slots So not only are these decals black instead of dark grey, they could have allowed f...

Well............they could have done something for detailing
OK, so I guess that means the old AMT kit that had these grilles may have been way off on scale and so I should not use that as an example. But maybe this example will help: This Polar Lights kit does have the grid lines on the inner nacelles. So if they can have this detail on the kit, why not the ...

Polar Lights TOS Enterprise 1\1000 pylon grilles
Just another FYI I thought of after I posted this subject:
even the old original AMT kit of the Enterprise that came with romulan and klingon ship back in the 70's had the grid lines on the pylons.
So now on this new version from PL, which is a bit bigger in size, can't include them?

Polar Lights TOS Enterprise 1\1000 pylon grilles
I'm putting together the PL TOS Enterprise 1\1000. Not much to fix on this one. Parts are pretty..pretty...pretty....good. The one big problem I see in this kit, is they decided for some odd reason NOT to include the 4 rectangular grilles on each pylon. Instead they make you use decals. Is there any...

Is it then just a matter of..........
So it sounds like everyone is saying that it IS possible. So it's then just a matter of knowing my overall voltage needs and matching that with the right plug that equals that voltage but not more or I may fry the circuts and LED's etc. is that correct way of thinking? I"m currently interested ...

Can kits run off house current instead of battery power?
I am a newbie at electronics and I'm sure my lame quesiton here will show you this but I just got to ask: I notice that all lighting kits for modeling are always based on battery power instead of house current. What if I want to keep a kit lighted all day and night long? This becomes a real burden h...
