Re: Anyone else get air bleed through an Aztec Airbrush?

Hi, I'm fairly new to the airbrushing scene, and being a novice went out and bought myself an double action Aztec A4305, mainly because they looked easy to use. However, just recently when I hook it up to the compressor it has started to let air through the brush without the trigger being depressed...

I'd have given Dick Blick a try. There Iwata stocks are expensive specially the HP-SB Plus (woh). Hobby Town got limited stock only. So I have given up my quest for Iwata and decided to continue loving my Aztek. Anyway, so far Aztek havent let me down. And I said to myself, I only use Airbrush for ...

For the price, I'd just get a Clisby lathe: http://www.clisbyminiaturemachines.com/LatheMetal.html I've always heard good things about them. This one looks tempting. It has a small foot print, just right for my small workbench. I assume the "12 Volt DC" can be plug on the 220v outlet. I m...

For the Aztek Users..

While waiting for my new Iwata airbrush. I still found a usage for my Aztek A470. With the absense of O-ring. I'm still using it for priming. Yep, with a lacquer primer. Just dip the tip in the bottle filled with lacquer for storing after use. With proper maintenance, this airbrush still goes a long...

I think TCPGlobal sells a lot of stuff on Ebay. Dixie Art carries just about any part or accessory you could ever want for Iwata airbrushes and they have free shipping over $60. But I think you're outside the USA... Dixie Art is in New Orleans, so you'd be helping revive the local economy if you bo...

Upgrading my Aztek Airbrush.

Well, after using my Aztek A470 for a few months (bougth it last 1998 in Micro-Mark) and seeing my 10 year old son interest in modelling. I think its time to hand over my Aztek Airbrush to him. I have my eye on the Iwata Eclipse and High Performance Airbrush. And this site "http://www.tcpglobal...

I have the same problem before. So everytime I use my spray booth or an area for spraying. I clean and vacuum the place. Since then no dust. Just to be on the safer side, after spraying, Store the newly paint model in a plastic container. The one I use got a rubbel seal ( Lock and Lock from Korea )....

Thanks Joseph for you're reply. Yeah, the airbrush is not the problem. ( I love my Aztek for its simplicity in maitenance when use for my hobby ). Again, have been off from modelling for years. So I suspect my method. I did more search about the primer ( this is the first time I use a primer ). And ...

Thiining Tamiya Grey Primer (from bottle)

I just started getting back to my model hobby after 15 years. And I'm more of a Star wars modeler. Yesterday, for the first time. I used the Tamiya Grey Primer and thinned with 50% Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. In the firts few minutes of spraying thru my aibrush it comes out smoothly. But later then that...
