Thanks guys, My biggest problem is that we have a Radio Shack here in town, Imagine that in the frozen wastes of Alaska. They told me yesterday that Radio Shack has pretty much decided to stop carrying actual electrinic doo dadsand go the Consumer Electronics route, TVs and such.

Ah OK I usally give my parts abath anyway. I also use an alchol swab right before I paint. I had done a test of the acrylics in a scrap part , I didn't washor swab I will try it, again.

I have question about acrylics is there somethnig you should use before you paint in order to keep the paint from peeling off the plastic? It seems to flake off pretty easily.

Thanks , I actually had electronics Eons ago but cant remember any of it Where would I find some good instructions on how to utilize these chips? Hooking them up , which legs do what, and so forth?

Hi I have just joined the site, But I have found a good way of cleaning Paint away , GOO-Gone and it WILL NOT hurt your plastic and it smells good also :wink:

Ink Wash and Graphite

Ihave used Ink wash also to bring up minute surface detail Adding a liitle graphite ( I sharpen my Architect pencil and save the graphite ) I have also use Graphite to weather

Does Krylon Work on Polystyrene?

Hi All I live in a place that doesn't carry too many Model Supplies. Will Krylon Paints work? They are supposed to bond to Plastic> I was wondering if anyone had used it and what the results were. Did it Melt the Plastic? did it stick? Anything someone can tell me I would appreciate. Thanks B Shephe...
