Looking for advise: Moulding 1/35 and 1/72 guns

I have a project that will have to use *several* guns of both scales. I've heard of molding small items in epoxy putty (i.e. the kind used for boat hull repair). Since I have no access in my country to other means of molding, what would your advise be?

I've heard good things about knead-a-mold, but couldn't find it last month when I traveledto the States. Found Amazing mold putty and bought a sample. Future trips will be more oriented to modeling, though.

Thanks for your inputs. Sadly, I can't order anything out from my country due to severe restrictions on currency change and internet buying. So I will stick to what I can find to do my molds the cheap way. I understand now that there is no "ideal" substitute for the expressely created mate...
