Thanks for the help. Had no idea about the issue with the mold release; thought the prob was oils from the hands and general dirt - idiotically failed to check this out properly ... If I ever have time to build my V3 SS X-Wing, I too plan to mount it on a panavise stand. But could someone explain a little more about how one goes about embedding the female connector (if I can find one) inside the model using the epoxy putty?
