Don't use clunky relays, 2N2222 transistors are plenty of dirive for most
LED projects.

You are trying to run multiple LED's in parrallel off the same current limit resistor. Never do this. You need a seperate resistor to each, or you can run a few in series.

The only common point is the batteries. The four always on LEDs are connect in parallel, each with its own 100 ohm resister. Also in parallel are the power leads to the little flasher circuit.... http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062571 The blinky chip is on the same little boar...

Isolation blinking LED

I am running 4 leds off of two small batteries as well as an LED blinker from radio shack. When the LED blinks the others dim for an instant due to the inrush current. How can I isolate the blinking LED to eliminate this? I assume a capacitor of some sort. Battery voltage is 3volts. I should know th...

Looks really good. Didn't someone post a DIY arc welding circuit a few months back. I was looking for it in my downloaded schematics, but apparently I didn't save it. You can do this with $2.99 "tea lights". They drive a yellow LED that that is on most of the time and winks out randomly. ...

Refit Garden Windows

I posted this in the Trek forum but thought the technique might be good for other types of lighting... Thanks to Gunstar's analysis of the garden ceiling in the refit I think I have a pretty good reproduction. From TMP screen caps I created a ceiling and printed it out on photo paper, lit the garden...

I attended my nephew's wedding this past weekend. They chose to use the flickering LED tea lights as part of the centerpieces at the tables and being the geek of the family, I managed to bring home a bag of around thirty of them. :8) I think if one were to gang three of these things together, the e...

Online 555 simulator

Not sure if this link has been posted but here is a cool 555 simulator that lets you see the effects of the R/C values. Most sites just show the numbers.
Be sure to turn on the power button....

Primer panel lines

I've seen several people using thin tape to make panel lines, lay it down, spray with primer then remove the tape.

Should the primer be completely dry, tacky, wet?

Anyone have experience with this?
