OK. But I use acrylic paint. I just want to use a spray can instead of a air brush. Is there anything else that we can use that is easy to find in a spray can?
Thanks

Krylon
Hey,
I was at my Ace hardware store today and I saw some Krylon clear coat finish - non yellowing oil based. Can I or should I use this to seal the finished model? I used acrylics for my base and weathering and I used oils as my wash. Also, is 91% alcohol a good thinner for acrylics?

Debate (paint the sub assemblies or after construction)
OK, Well here is an interesting topic that the boys and my self are talking about. It seems that after construction of certain parts of the engines, the boys think the paint is a little on the light side. So I said just darken it. But they want to pull it apart and repaint them. Now, would it have b...

Canopy problem
Hi, I walked on our canopy for the X-wing that we are building for our school project and broke it in several pieces. I think it would look bad if I glued the pieces back together. My Dad has been on the site before asking questions on building, etc. I'm dead with out it. We are building the Pro Sho...

Confused
Hey all, I posted this question on the lighting forum, but the traffic there is slow. I did have one reply, but I can't follow the links. Thank you to the author. My question, is there a lighting kit that is simple to install? One that has all of the parts connected to the board. I think I can do th...

Base
I found a piece of PVC pipe that will work. Now how do I prep the PVC for painting and what kind of glue should I use? I will be gluing the PVC to a sheet of styrene.

Help with Columns and base.
Me again, I do not have the mind of an Architect . As a ER Dr. I can only think in terms of the body and not 3D shapes. I also have no intention of ripping off another s idea. But I still need help with this base, and were at a dead stop. How can we make the ventilation shaft and the columns that ex...

Lighting the X wing Pro shop
I have never worked with LEDs and fiber ops. Is there a tutor or a good book to walk me through it? I went to my local electronics store and they weren't much help. They did have all of the parts needed. Lights etc.

Vacuforming parts
I have access to a vacuform machine. Is it a good idea to use this to make a few panels with some deep recesses?
