painting flames

anyone know or have a good tutorial on painting flames. ive done about 6 searches from google and have not came up with anything helpful. thanks!

That's the one I use as reference. The Key is that you need REALLY bright and very intense paints. I bought a set of Citadel paints to do mine but there are others available.

I copy that.

My explosion on the THUNDER CHILD-diorama was also painted with Citadel / Games Workshop colors.

I gave it a bright white basecoat first, then the bright colors. The result speaks for itself: http://www.starshipmodeler.info/contest ... odside.jpg

whilst not painting live fire, this gives me a good bases for doing flames on a kit...
