Enterprise D Studio paint colors

Post by phil10123 »

Hello everyone, I have been seaching the site and google for 2 days trying to figure out what 2 colors to use for my Enterprise D. I am hoping that I can find 2 colors that testors makes in spray paint version since I don't have an airbrush. If anyone knows of 2 colors that can replicate this http://kingskustommodelkonstruction.com ... e_D_8_.jpg Please let me know thanks in advance.

If you're going to spray bomb it, I'd go with a base coat of light ghost gray, aztec it with a light coat (and I mean REALLY LIGHT - like stand back three feet away from the model LIGHT) of duck egg blue (don't think that's it's official name, but there's something similar on the Tamiya paint rack). Once you remove all of the masking, overpray it with another very, very light coat of white to blend everything together, and then hit it with a gloss clear coat before you apply the decals. Once those are dry, seal everything with a final clear coat (satin finish) to seal the decals.

Hope this helps.
