Minimum temp for priming?

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Minimum temp for priming?

Post by DeltaVee »

I can airbrush inside, but I need to prime several models with a spray can of Gunz resin primer. I can't do that inside. It's probably 35-40 here. Can I still spray, or do I need to wait till it's 50 or so? Thanks.

You could try warming the can in a bowl of hot (faucet-hot, that is) water while outside.

Warm the paint up in hot tap water and keep the kit parts in a warm area before you do any painting.

Then quickly dash outside, spray the parts, let them sit for a minute or so outside so the thinner flashes off, then bring them back in finish curing.

Put the paint can back in the hot water until you're ready to spray again.

Repeat as needed.
