Who's got the best lighting kits?

At risk of great embarrassment, I ask, who do you think has the best lighting kits, and why?

Sure, cost is important, but how about ease of use, quality of products, and accuracy of effects?

This is not a self-plug, I'm just trying to find out how I stand vs the other guys and where I can do better. Thanks!!

never used any of these other manufacturer's products, but I dig your stuff, easy to use and ready to use right out of the box with very clear directions

I agree with face. Your kits have a good combination of ease of use, fair
price and flexibility. I've never used any of the other companies' products
either so I can't speak to their quality. I've looked at VoodooFX's stuff, and
while the products seem to be well designed (as far as I know), they tend to
be somewhat high in price by my standards and they do require moderate
electrical knowledge and installation skills. The DLM products look good too
but, again, you need to know what you're doing in terms of electrical
assembly and soldering. I know how to do those things so, for me it wouldn't
be an issue but for somebody who doesn't have the experience, it may be a
challenge.

The only lighting kit I ever bought was from Hyperdyne Labs for my studio scale X-Wing.
It was simple and straight forward and I wasn't frightened at all about installing it.
I haven't tried any of the other lighting kits that are out there but I would like too. The thing is they have to be 'simple' for people with ZERO electronics abilities and easily upgradable where I can add additional LEDs to it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, its is very valuable and appreciated.

With the instructions I try to make it as obvious as possible to the novice how to use my stuff, and it seems to go well most of the time since I dont get too many customer service calls.

What I do get is lots of software guys who want to understand how it works and I can handle that.

Also, seeing how many folks choose to roll their own, Im not too surprised and I also see that most of my market is doing things people cannot do for themselves, like a complete solution for a complex project or a special effect. Good, that's what any good product will do.

By far the best lighting kits come from Just an Illusion. They are the easiest to use and a great value. the electroluminescent panels are incredible. The results on the moon bus were fabulous.
