Using Crystal Clear 202 to fill windows?

Post by No_6 »

I usually use Epoxy for windows, but have been having some problems with that lately. I was hoping Smooth-on Crystal Clear 202 might work a bit better. Any tips? Or should I just stick with the epoxy?

I'd actually suggest "Micro Krystal Klear" - same people who do Micro-Set and Micro-Sol for decals

Krystal Klear is a clear-drying cement, used for attaching clear styrene (windows) without fogging

It can also be used to create windows in small openings

Haven't had too much luck with the Krystal Klear. The epoxy (up til now) has worked well as it handles much wet/dry sanding

Depends on how big the windows are.
I speak of the pompatous of plastic.

Sounds like epoxy is the favored way to go. Especially if you're going to sand and polish the windows.

How do windows created with Micro Krystal Klear stand up to masking?
