I'm in the market for a compressor and am looking at the Paasche D3000R. A friend also recommended the Iwata Smart Jet. Both of these are very similar except the Paasche D3000R has a tank.

Does anyone have the Paasche D3000R? Is this a quiet compressor?

Are the Iwata compressors worth the extra money? They seem more expensive then the others.

I use a D3000R and I'm very happy with it. It's quiet and reliable.

Did you get the D3000R more recently? The reason I ask is that Paasche was making the compressors in the US until a few years ago. I'm curious which one you have.
