Question about testing my blinkers

Post by dan4772 »

I have a work in progress 1/350 PL Refit with a DIY lighting kit from trekmodeler.

Since the blinkers don't have resistors attached, what is a safe way to hook up a 9volt? Would 1 resistor coming off the battery be sufficient for a few 3 mm leds or do I need to temp hook up the blinker board?

Also, I can't find one of those battery caps with 2 wires coming off that I can attach alligators to. I went to radio shack, walmart, ace, lowes.

Sorry, I am a nub who thinks he's capable of pulling off the monster kit with little to no experience.

A 1k ohm resistor should be pretty safe. Connect the LEDs in series too and you have nothing to worry about.

Radio does carry the battery clips.
