Years ago I saw a modeller use a soft grey paste (similar in consistency to toothpaste) to fill the gaps on a badly fitting model aircraft. Once this had dried, he sanded it smooth to obscure the gap. I've been trying to find out what this paste was ever since but all my efforts have been unsuccessful.
My question is, does any one know what that paste might have been? It was a professional modelling product, came in a tube and I seem to recall the tube may have been blue.

Sounds like the standard Testors Contour Putty. Not a bad product tho' is has some shrinkage issues. I still prefer Aves, Gorilla Glue or Spot Glazing Putty.
