Lighting kit for 1/350 Enterprise?

Post by nocoolname »

Hi, has anyone had any experience with the Evans Lighting kit for the 1/350 Enterprise Refit?

I had originally tried to order the pre-built kit from Trekmodeler but I can't seem to be able to get in touch with them so I was looking at the Evans kit as an alternative.

It suggests that all of the LED's are pre-wired and that they only need to be attached to the circuit boards, is that correct?

Grateful for any thoughts/advice you might have. This 1/350 baby has been sat on my shelf for ages now and is in dire need of being built.

Thanks in advance

Same yourself some money. I built this circuit for my 1/350 enterprise

You can get all the LEDs, resistors, and wiring you need on eBay for $20-25

Thanks Matt

Unfortunately my electronics skills are very 'very' limited. So I need a kit that does as much for me as possible. I can cope with a little soldering and testing but that's about it. Hence I'd rather go pre-built or as close to as possible.

Cheers

Well I make a lighting kit you can use for the 350th refit. Its not fully assembled but to get it together you just need to wire-wrap things together and do some very basic soldering of the power leads.

Have a look here:

Its the "Big Starship kit" which was originally created for the 350th NX-01 but with a little creativity on where you mount the LEDs and such, its good for the Refit too.

Thanks.

You can always learn electronics :)

My circuit is a more advanced version, but if all you need is blinking red/green lights and a strobe, the circuit is super simple. It'd be probably 1/5 the complexity as the circuit I posted.

If you're looking for windows lights and all, Madman is the way to go. I was building separate module for each part of the 1/350 here:http://www.starshipmodeler.net/talk/vie ... highlight=

But now I got side tracked with the Cylon raider here, and we're busy keeping up with orders:

Yeah, the rest are still being developed:
1. Deflector Dish (need to find a good LED)
2. Photo torpedoes (done but needs to create a prototype board)
3). Warp/Impulse not yet...

:D
