cleaning parts before priming
I'm building a 1/350 Polar Lights refit. I have some of the sub assemblies done, but they are full of finger prints, tape residue, etc. What can I safely use to clean the parts before painting them? I did wash the parts before assemby, but obviously can't soak them in water again since there are electronics inside some of them. Would something like goo-gone be OK? It seems to leave an oily residue, so I don't know if that's a good idea.
