Bussard dome diffusing

Besides sandpaper and steel wool, is there something that can be applied to the inside of clear bussard domes to diffuse them?

There is Krylon Frosted Glass Finish in a spray can. Should be on the shelf at Walmart.

Someone within the Trek sub-forum once suggested suspending the dome over an open bottle or tube of "super glue". The wafting "vapors" supposedly "fogs" the inner surface of the dome, but the process takes overnight or longer.

I can't verify as I don't have the kit and the domes to test, but I can see the "logic" behind the idea. Even if it doesn't work, the worst, in theory, will be a vial of glue "wasted".
