Thinning Testors Metalizers

What can I use to thin Testors Metalizer paints? I've got a couple that have been sitting on my shelf, and they've evaporated a bit.

Testors Metalizer thinner. You should be able to find it wherever they sell Metalizer.

I would think mineral spirits and laquer thinner would do. Either one.

I've used lacquer thinner with no problems. Just make sure you stir/shake well to get everything mixed well, especially for the buffable types.

Lacquer thinner yes, mineral spirits no.

Unfortunately, thanks to a "dispute" with Canada customs, Testors no longer sells metalizers in Canada. Even more unfortunate was when I was in the States last summer, I forgot to get more.

Thanks for the suggestions. Any particular brand of lacquer thinner?

Plain ol' hardware store lacquer thinner works for me.

After adding the lacquer thinner and before you shake it, make sure the lid is screwed on tight, if you don't the lacquer thinner will leak out and you'll have a mess on your hands.

Yes, I found out the hard way......

The guys here are correct. Use laquer-I was thinking they were thinned enamels airbrush ready. I only have two bottles of the stuff that I bought about 15 years ago.
