Applying Large Photo-etch Elements?

Post by WarpeD »

By the end of the month or early December, I'll have that 1/72nd Gato I've been looking forward to for rather a long time. I will also have all the Eduard photo-etch I need.

I just learned about annealing the stuff, and will certainly need to do that for this enormous boat.

But there are large swaths of brass intended to be laid in on the surface of the hull, and I don't want to fark this up.

What's the best, most forgiving, and most reliable means of applying large layer format photo-etch to a plastic surface of any kind?

Rough & clean the glue surface and apply with a slower setting CA like Gorilla then clean up the over run with some debonder or acetone on a q-tip.

And clamps, LOTS of clamps. Quadruple check position.
