new on this forum , scratch building.
Hello
I am new to your forum,
I am a N scale train layout modeler , and one year ago, I have discovered scratch building of spaceships; I was hooked.
I have discovered specifically this forum: it is amazing.
Let me introduce my two first humble tries; I am a newbie .

Welcome to SSM, Monsieur Small Red Train (is that correct?). You know, I always enjoy seeing other folks' builds, but yours made my jaw literally drop in amazement. You're a "newbie"? Are you sure? Your work looks very professional to me, my friend.
Very nicely done, indeed! Speaking for myself, I can see you will raise the skills bar for most us.
Agin - Welcome!

Welcome to the sanitarium !!!!!
Some say we are nuts, some say we are crazy. But we say we are creative and very intuitive and very responsible recycle bandits, we see what others often miss and just toss out. We have the vision to turn everyday objects into beautiful and inspiring artwork. Welcome to the group and we are looking forward to seeing some of your creations added to the gallery.

I work on another project : a space tanker .
The scale will be 1/220 as in my first project.
The idea came from this :
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=25
the base of a clothe drying rack
first steps
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=35
for the main hull
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=34
for the engine part
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=33
the front (a part of a phone cell)
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=32
this will be the center of the spaceship (coming from a toy)
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=31
a new step of the rear engine part
http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/ptitr ... ort=3&o=30
this will be the global shape of the ship
I Post next photos later

Welcome!
All are terrific designs, but liking the big bulky freighter look, I'd have to go with that one as my favorite.
Keep up the good work.

I've always thought of model railroading as building a diorama that works.
"Nothing to do now but drink a beer and watch the universe die."
"Basically what I do everyday."
I AM Spartacus!
I'm Batman.
Don't believe everything you see on the Internet!- Abraham Lincoln
Oh my God!! It's full of plastic peanuts!
Today is a good day to model!
