Is there any way to brighten up white paint that's yellowed slightly with age? Other than repainting of course.

Use color interference. Blue is the opposite of yellow. It's tricky, but could work.
Or put the piece in the sun for a while and let the magic of UV rays to their work.

Clothes yellow with age, that's why most laundry detergents are blue.
Pigmets such as paint might not take well to a blue hue being introduced. Might go green. Probably best to buy new paint.
I want my thunder back.
