Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Epoxy glue, like Devcon, is available at any hardware store, auto parts store, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, hobby shop, or on-line. At places like Wal-Mart, look in the automotive section.

Balsa should work, as long as the plastic you use to skin it with isn't too thin. Anything .020" or thicker should work.

PS: While you're at the store buying epoxy, pick up a couple For Sale signs. Way cheaper than Plastruct sheet, and it's the same stuff.

One minor tip-before you attach the plastic sheet to the wood, 'rough up'
the mating surface of the styrene sheet with some heavy grit sandpaper-
this will give the epoxy a better surface to 'grip' as it were...

I've had decent results attaching plastic to balsa with gap filling superglue. Don't know how well it'd work with bass wood.
