PE Kit

Has anyone bought the Photo Etch kit that is in the Micro Mark cataloge? I was just wondering if it would be easier with this kit or if I should just stick with making my own etching tank and buying the other components separetly. The kit has just dropped in price but still $99 is a lot to spend. So any input would be welcome.

Is the Micromark PE kit worth getting?

And on some related questions:

How fine of detail can one expect to generate with the kit?

Finally, the kit comes with .005" thick sheets of stainless steel and brass. Is it possible to PE thicker sheets with the kit?

Anyway, I'd love to hear any feedback from PE experts out there...
