You could look for it in scientific supply houses since it was made for science labs. We used it like saran wrap, stretched it over jar tops and the like to seal them. Don't know what you'd use it for in modeling. After using the stuff for a few years I'd say there had to be better stuff for modeling prolly a lot cheaper too.
Stand back, I don't know how big this thing gets.
Parafilm is useful for large irregular shaped areas where masking tape won't work. It also is very good on metallic finishes and BMF where the finish might pull off with masking tape. Since it can be stretched it can cover large areas. I have had some for over 10 years and it still stretches. Testors sells parafilm as a masking agent as part of the its large displays in hobby stores.
