fiber optics and glue problem

Hi, i'm currently building a Republic Star Destroyer and came across a problem. In the past, i used testors orange tubing when assembling fiber optics with no problem but most recently, i've start using Tamiya cement and tamiya extra thin cement( does a better job in general ) but both are too strong and when i apply it, the fiber just break( disolve ) instantly where i applied glue. i would prefer not to have to go back to testor and wondered what other guys are using?

I used plain ole elmers glue on my X-Wing and Defiant

I've been using liquid latex, it's easy to control the application, keeps everything snuggley in place and can be easily removed if need be.

well, now i'm wondering why i didn't try that before... guess i was looking for trouble! The simplest way is always the best i guess. Thanks guys for waiking me up!
