Tamiya Weathering Masters

Anybody use the Tamiya Weathering "sticks"?

If so can you give a little review?

I just got some Weather Master pigments and Sticks in the store and I'm trying to promote em'.

I've already read that some people love the powder but I havent heard much on the sticks.

I haven't tried the sticks, been told they're havign issues getting them into the US but the little make-up cases are great.

I've been told they're simpley pure pigment, but I feel there's a little something added. I've got some pure pigment and it doesn't hold as well as the Tamiya stuff does.

A Set
Sand: Well, it's sand colored. Gives things a nice dirt look.

Light Sand: Same as above, just lighter.

Mud: Less red than Rust, darker than Sand. Use it for fresh dirt, mud, etc.

B Set
Black or soot: great for blast marks, oil stains, soot stains (duh), genreal grimyness.

Rust: dunno, does an ok job of rust (RustAll is much better) better job of dark earth.

Snow: Nice white. Haven't tried the white wash look with it but it's increadible for dry brushing hilights.

try using it with a bit of water.it does better soot marks when the applicator is damp. plus it doesn't rub off as easy like pastels.
