Quick airbrush noob question
How thin of a line do i want my airbrush to be able to paint for modeling?
As think as you want.
If you're painting noodle schemes on 1:144 WWII aircraft you need a really fine line (1/64 inch). If all you're doing is splotchy 1:35 armor then somethgn fatter is ok.
Now, the tradeoff is a finer brush won't work well with coarser paints (like some metalics) and a really fine brush almost requires fine ground inks.
I can get a fairly fine line out of my Eclipse, probably about 1/16 to 1/32 of an inch but my hands shake too much for much work at that realm, so I tend towards looser paint schemes.
So, finer lline, finer paints. Broader line, can use a larger variety of paints.
