Batmobile weathering

Post by Locke_333 »

Hi all,

i decided to go back to my Batman begins batmobile. i've found some really nice pics of a finished model and i'd like mine to end up in a similar way.

My problem is that i don't have a lot of experience with weathering. To pick up where i left mine last time, i had applied 1 coat of Nato black if i remeber correctly.... can pastel weathering achieve something similar or am i off to start with a new paint job?

Any hints would be appreciated!
Do or do not, there is no trying!

That looks like it was painted black, (or dark, dark grey), then drybrushed with several shades of lighter grey. He may have added a black wash, I can't really tell from the pics. You could contact Cody thru his website, or send him a private message here and ask him how he did it. Or IIRC he has some really nice tutorials on his site.
I speak of the pompatous of plastic.
