Gunze's fluorescent paints

Has anybody ever tried the fluorescent paints by Gunze Sangyo? Are they clear or solid? I was thinking about using the pink for a Zeon mono eye or a beam sabre. Also, what could I add to clear red to make a clear pink? Thanks!

They are opaque, or at least as opaque as paints gets.

Thin clear red with Future to get a clear pink. It helps to add a little clear yellow (as the clear red is more a clear magenta and the yellow helps red it up).

Thanks Kylwell! Should I prime the fluorescent with white to have the brightness stand out, or do you think regular primer gray would be enough?

Definately. With flouescents, white is your friend (due to thier slight translucentness).

Some flourescents (can't remember if Gunze is one of them at the moment) dull a bit when a gloss coat is put over it, just as a warning.
