Silver Or Black As A light Blocking Color?????

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Silver Or Black As A light Blocking Color?????

Post by Thomas E. Johnson »

Ok, I'm ready to do the light blocking coat on REL's 1/650 Enterprise-E. I'm told that silver is a better color for this, than black. Is this true?

Short answer: both. One coat of each as light blocker, then one coat of white to spread the light inside evenly (white is better than silver at this)
Sheer elegance in its simplicity.

Political unrest in dictatorships is rather like a round of rock-paper-scissors: The oposition goes on denouncing the regime on the papers, the regime censors the papers, rock-throwing ensues.
