White LEDs with a warm yellowish glow

I went to my LHS today looking for some more of a certian type of white LED I had purchased there. They didn't have it, but I picked up lots of great supplies I hadn't noticed before. When I got home I decided to check the manufacturer's website and look what I found:

This would be ideal for say... spotlights on a certian refit, or any interior lighting applicatin. The one thing that always bothered me about lighting with white LEDs, was that it always looked like you were lighting with white LEDs. Studio models, and real aircraft, ships, etc... almost always have the warm yellowish glow of incandesants.

Anyway, I thought I'd pass this along...

I havne't been to that site in ages, I wish I had the money for the 2 circuts I want. The under Lightings effects/Fire and Flame Effects the arc welder and Simulated Fire & Flame would make for great effects on a damaged ship. (ie: Wrecks contest).

For the warm white leds, check Ebay for leds, warm white. VoodooFX has come out recently with a fairly nice lighthouse/beacon effect (the timing is adjustable).

Those are the new "warm white" LEDs from CREE. I should try them out sometime.

Has anyone tried or managed to get a sample of CREE's new super high brightness whites? They're supposed to be as efficient as compact flouresent lamps. Madman Lighting tried to get samples a while back but I'm still waiting.
