Lighting Enterprise D

Post by CSI32005 »

Hello all am new to the forum. I am currently working on a E-D model it is the fiber optic model and I have decided not to use the cable for the windows and have drilled and cut to make them more realistic. My question is what is the best way to light the model and does anyone know where I could get any schematics or diagrams to show what to do?

Ent-D was my first light up project and was also my re-entry into building models. I dont have schematics or such but I suggest getting a good LED lighting kit and starting with that. Starship Modeler store sells one.

When I did mine I used a few whites for the saucer, a blue for the deflector and each nacelle had two blues and two reds, mounted in the space between them.

O yea, buy some lead shot to weigh down the rear ends of the nacelles if you use the kit stand or that sucker will nose down like crazy.

Good luck.
