Alclad Chrome on Clear question

Post by Kylwell »

Has anybody used Alclad Chrome on the back of clear piece (like a canopy) then backed it with black? Does this give as shiny of an appearance as usual? Or should I just paint the usual?

That just might be 'the idea'! Since Alclad chrome takes it depth and shine from how well the black base is prepped and done you oughta get the smoothest base and possibly some more 'depth' that way? Sounds like a great concept- have you tested it, well I guess not- whatya waitin' for? :D

I just reread your post and at first thought you'd paint the black 'inside' the clear and then chrome on top? Hmm, wonder which way would work better? Okay, two tests for you!
