Advice for a newbie

Post by RJB »

I'm one of the people who are getting Bar's Daedalus and want some input on the best products to use on it.

I'm in Alberta (western Canada) and I want to have a look kind of like what I went with on my 3d model of the Daedalus. (A darker and meaner looking Daedalus)

Now I'm new at model painting and will most likely be using an airbrush for this so based on my area what would be a good primer for this, what would be good paints (bar suggested I go acrylic) and do I have to seal the model and with what?

I prefer Tamiya and Gunze-Sangyo for acrylic paints. Look through the washes thread for some good ideas on how to weather etc. I prefer Future with India ink glazes to bring out the highlights.
