Has anyone ever used this stuff? http://www.sunshinecrafts.com/body_frie ... astic.html
There's an article over at ARC about using it as a mold making material. He used bondo for his casting medium, was wondering if something like this would work with resin or maybe just something like Aves.
Anyone?

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
Re: Friendly plastic
I have a big container of it. Friendly Plastic is extremely friendly to everything and even stuck to the mold materials I used. If you pour it into a mold, you'll need a release agent.vlester wrote:Has anyone ever used this stuff? http://www.sunshinecrafts.com/body_frie ... astic.html

Using Friendly Plastic as a mold material itself might work; again, you would need a release agent. The plastic is waxy and somewhat hard (it's similar in many respects to hot glue) and the heat from a large resin cast might deform the plastic.
You probably don't need a water bath to melt the stuff, either - but be careful to keep the temperature low (150 - 150F) while melting it.
