Hi
I'm interested in using some of this EL lamp product to do some lighting for some kits of mine (namely it'll be great for lighting my Millennium Falcon engine), but I can't seem to find a UK supplier. Can anyone help me out?
Also, can it really be cut to *any* shape? For another project I'm working on, I'd need round shapes to light up.
Thanks,
Daf

Yah sure you bet! So long as you have two of the contacts on whatever shape you cut from the EL Sheet.DafTurner wrote:

Like this stuff I got from Miller Engineering 4X6 inch sheets:

So, would you say 'avoid this product entirely' or just 'generally disappointed'?erredois wrote:I was disappointed with EL brightness.
I was planning to use it in Falcon's cockpit. I would say it has some glow, but none of the brightness I expected.
I am using fiber optics instead.
For the engines I will use LEDs.
As well as Falcon engines, I was going to use it to light the repulsor section of some Iron Man gauntlets, for my Halloween costume.

While I agree that EL sheet can be disappointingly dim, the EL rope or string as used by car customisers can be really bright.
